About SwimFinder UK

SwimFinder UK is an independent directory of swimming lessons, built by Cameron James. It exists because finding a decent swim school still means opening twenty tabs and phoning three leisure centres.

What a listing is

One listing is one provider at one pool. If a swim school teaches at four venues in a city, that is four listings, each with its own postcode, prices and verdict. That way what you read matches the pool you will actually turn up at.

How we verify

Every price, age range, class size and waiting list note is taken from the provider's own website on the date shown under "Checked" on the listing. If we cannot confirm a fact, we leave it out rather than guess. Ratings are only shown when they come from a named public source with a review count.

An automated assistant researches each listing, and a person checks it before it goes live. Facts change, so we re-check the oldest listings on a rolling basis. If you spot something wrong, email hello@swimfinder.uk and we will fix it.

Honest verdicts

Each listing says who it suits and who should look elsewhere. A school can be excellent for babies and a poor choice for a nervous adult. We say so.

How we make money

Two ways, both labelled on the page. Swim schools can pay for a sponsored placement, which moves them higher on town pages and is marked "Sponsored". It never changes the facts or the verdict. Some links to kit and online lesson platforms are affiliate links, marked on the page. We do not sell your data and we do not take payment for a better verdict.
